Na pewno zbieżność imienia i nazwiska jest przypadkowa (Bauer to w końcu popularne nazwisko w Niemczech), ale imię i nazwisko właściciela firmy jest zbieżne z Fritzem Bauerem - bardzo intrygującą postacią, niemieckim prokuratorem ścigającym (trochę na własną rękę) zbrodniarzy nazistowskich. Na kanwie jego życiorysu powstał całkiem dobry film fabularny pt. "Fritz Bauer kontra państwo".
